AI & Your Content
Last updated
Hooklander uses AI to help you write page copy. This page explains what the AI does, which providers we use, what data is sent to them, and what you remain responsible for. It adds detail to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. How we use AI
- Writing a page: from your brief and offer details, the AI writes copy into every unlocked section of the template you chose.
- Section actions: regenerate a section, rewrite, shorten, expand, change the tone, or follow a custom instruction.
- Alternatives: suggestions for a headline or another field.
- Reading offer details: when you paste an offer or merchant link, the app reads that page and tries to extract product details. You review and correct them before they are used.
Sections you lock are never changed by AI.
2. Which AI providers we use
DeepSeek — primary AI provider. Its privacy policy: DeepSeek privacy policy.
DeepSeek is a provider based in the People’s Republic of China. According to its own published policies, the information it processes may be stored and processed on servers located in the People’s Republic of China.
If we change providers, we will update this page and our Privacy Policy.
3. What we send to AI providers
To generate copy, we send only what the AI needs for the task:
- Your brief: audience, country, language, angle, tone, length, the action you want visitors to take, and the ad text you provide for message match.
- Offer details: the product and offer facts you enter or confirm. When you paste a link, the content of that page is sent so details can be extracted.
- Existing copy: the current copy of the sections being written or rewritten, with enough of the page structure to keep the result consistent.
- Your instructions: custom instructions for the page or section, including saved instructions you choose to apply.
4. What we do not send
- passwords or other sign-in details;
- payment details;
- page visitor data, lead form submissions, analytics or sales data.
Anything you type into a brief or instruction is sent as written, so please leave out personal data or confidential information the AI does not need.
5. Training and data handling
We do not use your content to train AI models.
Each AI provider handles the data it receives under its own terms and policies, including how long it keeps that data and what it may use it for. Links to the providers' privacy policies are in section 2 where available.
We keep usage records for AI requests, such as the amount of text processed, to manage allowances and costs.
6. Safeguards against made-up facts
The AI is instructed not to invent prices, discounts, statistics, study results, endorsements, testimonials, ratings, reviewer names or product results. When a fact it needs is missing, it leaves a visible placeholder such as [ADD: price], and the app lists it as missing information. Testimonial and rating blocks are filled only from content you supply, and example testimonials in templates are clearly marked as examples.
7. You review before anything changes
- Section actions and alternatives show you the proposed change. It replaces your copy only when you accept it.
- Writing a full page updates your draft, and earlier versions stay in version history so you can restore them.
- Live pages change only when you publish. Drafts never go live on their own.
8. Your responsibility for AI output
You are responsible for everything you publish, whether you wrote it or the AI did. Before publishing, check that:
- every fact, price and claim is accurate and that you have evidence for claims that need it;
- every
[ADD: …]placeholder has been replaced or removed; - the page includes the disclosures the law, your affiliate networks and your traffic sources require;
- the copy follows the advertising rules of the platforms you use and our Acceptable Use Policy.
Our guidance on compliance is general and educational. It is not legal advice; check the rules for your market and traffic source.
9. Who owns AI output
As between you and us, copy the AI writes for you is your content, and you own it to the extent the law allows, subject to the AI provider's terms. Please note that in some countries purely AI-generated text may not be protected by copyright, and the AI may produce similar text for other users.
10. Allowances and failed generations
- Writing a page counts against your AI page builds. Section actions and alternatives count against your AI section edits.
- An allowance is used only when a generation succeeds.
- Failed or interrupted generations are not charged and do not overwrite your draft. Retrying a request does not charge you twice.
11. Languages
AI writing is currently available in English. We only offer a language after we have evaluated the quality of the copy the AI writes in it, and we will add others only once they pass that evaluation.
